"Villa Azure - Perfect for children 10 and up
"Short story: It is hard to imagine a better setting if the
goal of your vacation is the kind of quiet quality family
time together that is scarce in real life.
The house was spotlessly clean and furnished exactly as
advertised. The one little problem we had (a stuck tap)
was fixed immediately. There were no problems whatsoever.
The staff of Lush Locations: Amy and Nadia were very
helpful and professional. They arranged transport and a
rental car (through Sunny Rentals, also recommended!).
The only odd thing missing was, of all things, a coffee
maker. Otherwise the kitchen had all we needed. Beds and
bedding were clean, fresh and comfortable.
Between the beach (10 minute walk) and the
plunge pool our 12 year old girls were hardly every out of
the water. The pool is 1 meter deep and built right into
the deck - great for everyone except toddlers. You would
have to keep an eye on anyone who was too young to swim.
We had no issues with noise or neighbors. It was very
peaceful.
There are concerns about security, but we had no problems
at all. Antiqua is going through tough economic times,
right now, but all of the locals we dealt with were just
fine and much friendlier than we get at home. It was the
other vacationing Americans that we had trouble with.
If you don't need a sea view (and the reciprocal views
from all the passersby), then the location of the house is
perfect for a family. The tropical plantings more than
make up for a sea views.
You only need a car for excursions. If you want
diversions, the beach, the marina and several good
restaurants are just a few minutes walk away, near enough
to be convenient but far enough away so you don't hear or
see them when you are sitting on the deck.
We would return in a moment, and we hope to
next year. As a place for a family to chill out and have
quality time together, it is hard to beat. Resorts are
crowded and noisy, and full of distractions that this kind." |
